Do you want to make sure that your candles are as safe as possible?

Here are the tips X's and O's live by when caring for candles.

  1. Always, keep your wick trimmed to a 1/4 of an inch.

  2. Let the candle burn naturally for at least 4 hours, to prevent tunneling.

  3. On the flip side of that, make sure to not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, as there is a possibility the candle will get too hot.

  4. Stop burning and throw the candle away once there is a 1/4 inch of wax left in the bottom of the candle jar.

  5. Never ever, leave your candle burning unattended.

  6. Place the candle on a heat-safe surface, to prevent damage.

  7. Give it some space, make sure the candle isn't touching anything that could cause it to catch on fire or melt.

  8. Keep away from drafts, pets, and small children.

  9. Do not use water to put your candle out.

  10. Try to avoid moving the candle once it is lit, as this could cause hot wax to splash onto the skin.

If you follow these easy 19 tips, you'll extend the life of your candle and your enjoyment.
